The Triceratops is immediately recognizable by its long horns above its eyes and the large neck shield that surrounds its movable head like a collar. The dinosaur has a grey lizard skin with a bluish-yellow pattern.
The head and forehead of this popular prehistoric colossus are beautifully modelled. A real eye-catcher!
The Triceratops seems to want to eat undisturbed. With its head lowered, it plucks grass and bushy herbs – its favourite food – with its pointed mouth.
As this herbivore weighs up to twelve tons, it has to eat quite a lot to get its fill. That takes a while! So, it's no wonder that the dinosaur with the easily recognizable horns is often seen feeding in a meadow.
