Of all animals that ever lived on earth, the Therizinosaurus probably had the longest claws. It used them to dig, grasp, pierce, and peel off bark. It lived towards the end of the dinosaur age, together with other herbivores such as the Kentrosaurus and Pentaceratops.
The Schleich figures are modeled with attention to detail, hand-painted with care, and provide educationally valuable playtime. The most impressive feature of the Therizinosaurus is its striking gigantic claws. Their purpose has not yet been revealed, however, it is likely that it used the claws to defend itself. It undoubtedly lived approx. 70 million years ago and must have looked extremely impressive.
