About the Artist: After initially wanting to be Superman, Gareth Lucas settled on being an illustrator. Since art school, he’s worked predominately in children’s publishing, where his favourite subjects are animals and birds. Gareth says, “I like my work to be as happy, joyful and playful as possible.” He lives in Essex, England with his wife and five children.
